Week Four

If we never try, we will never know what was to happen. I feel like that is one lesson that is easy to comprehend, but difficult to play out. It is easy to live in the fear that we create ourselves. We can easily talk ourselves out of doing something we really want or believe in because of the “fears” that pop up in our heads. While I was reading this week lesson, I was thinking about how Satan does not want us to succeed. Whether it would change our personal world, our city, our state, or even the world. He doesn’t want us to succeed because he will never be able to give the satisfaction of succeeding himself in accomplishing something that is for the greater good.

I really liked Sharon Mays video called, “Action Hero”. I love how her Mom asked what she was waiting for because if she wants to go forward with it than what is stopping her. Acting with such faith is something I need to work on. I want to be able to pray to our loving Heavenly Father and be able to act on faith in order to go the direction that he sees a better fit for me and my life.

I also really enjoyed hearing how we should not only choose something we are passionate about but something we believe in. I stand by the statement, “You never work a day in your life if you are doing something you love.” I feel like that’s very true. If you are doing something you absolutely love then it wouldn’t feel like work. It would feel very much like going to “play” all day.

I hope that in my life I can start incorporating Heavenly Father in my decisions about work as well as home life and finances. I want to work on this and be able to act upon faith to be directed into the path that would be a better fit for me.
