Week Eleven
Owning your own business is
exciting! But it can be so difficult to keep up with all the demands of a new
business, or even a successful business and still have time for what matters
most to you. For me, my family is the most important part of my life. However,
I also want to be an Entrepreneur and with that being said I know that there
will be times in my life that I will need to work when I want to just spend
time with my family.
One of the
best things I learned this week was the fact that you need to establish your boundaries
now and not bend them backwards. When I start my business, I want to have set
rules for myself that I know I need to stay within in order to be successful
with my business but also successful within my own family.
One boundary
that I will set is that Sunday is not a work day. I will not be participating
in any work on Sundays. Sundays will be for my family. I feel that it is
important to keep myself with the boundaries that I set so that I don’t get
lost in the business world and have my business overtake me. I would love to
prove to my kids that having your own business is possible and that working
within the needs of your business but also your family is 100% doable.
I really
enjoyed this week’s lesson because it helped open my eyes to how I can not only
work in my business but have my business work within our family. That is one
thing that I have been stressing about and sitting down to come up with a plan
for when I can work with my business and not have so much time away from my
family is a necessary step.
