Week Ten
I loved this week’s lesson! Dreaming and chasing your dreams
is so important. When someone finds their passion and they work within their
passion they are able to achieve such great things. It is interesting that we
do a lot of dreaming when we are little kids and the older, we grow somehow our
dreams become only dreams.
My daughter just turned six in February and that little girl
is a dreamer. Make believe is her game and she absolutely dream up all these different
ideas. She will even go to the extent of creating this “dream” that she has
come up with. It makes me wonder as an adult, how have I lost that spark. Becoming
scared of failing and the unknown. I want to have my daughter and all of my
kids be able to keep their dreams alive. Knowing that failing is part of the
adventure. Being able to fail brings them steps closer to achieving what they
are wanting to achieve.
There is a saying that you should shoot for the stars and if
you miss then you still can hit the moon. This week’s lesson reminded me a lot
about that saying. Why should we limit ourselves with our dreams, hopes, and
desires? We should be finding our passions and working through those passions
in order to hit the stars or even the moon. If we never take that leap of faith,
we won’t be able to go anywhere. We will stay in limbo until another task takes
us.
As a Mom, I want to be able to help teach my kids that
reaching for what they want in life is not a bad thing. They can become
anything they want but they need to work for it. They will have ups and bumps
in the road, but they can get passed them. Working through their passions and
remembering to keep dreaming is only going to help them not be scared to fail.
